Dear Martin and Deborah

This weekend has been great and awsome. It is just like home. We had a big breakfast, massive lunch and… humungous dinner. I like the fact that dogs were allowed and that you had a laundry, shop, compost-bins, chickens, loads of big fields and (this is the best) Bernie and Mister (ha ha ha).

The other good thing is that you provide all toiletrys and stuff like that. I like how you let me feed the chikens and then gave me an egg ! You are very kind as well. There is another thing – The Long Room AKA the games room is a good idea, but you have loads of pens/pencils but where is the paper?

But apart from that it was fantastic – brilliant and beautiful.

Yours sincerly

Looks quite young, perhaps a late litter from last year. As Ben Brindley said, only need would bring it out in the day, so it may need help. https://www.britishhedgehogs.org.uk/found-a-hedgehog/

You'll have to provide a comfortable hedgehog house now with all mod cons...lol

Is there a Rescue local to you? Out in the days normally an indication all's not well, they would chk a poo sample to make sure no parasites.

Is there any shelter for it nearby as it could of had it's nest destroyed or disturbed. Sometimes the do come out daylight hours. Generally it is a hedgehog in distress – it is either ill, very hungry, disorientated, blind, orphaned . Mothers to be will come out during the day, but they will be noticeably different behaviour because they will be collecting nesting material and these need to be left alone as they are just going about their business.

It's so cute!!!!
