Wheeldon Trees join Peak Pound Partnership scheme

Each year, there are 22 million visits to the Peak District.  Tourism is essential for the local economy with 24% of Peak District residents employed in the sector. Thousands of local businesses rely on the beauty of the Peak District for their livelihood. The Peak District needs looking after to make sure that these visitors keep coming back and help the local economy.

We already support Friends of the Peak District's work and have now signed up their Peak Pound Partnership - continuing and developing our commitment to the local environment.
