The Reading Retreat Scheme administered by The Raymond Williams Foundation...
Interested in taking some time out for reading, writing or researching in a peaceful and beautiful location ?
Wheeldon Trees Farm is an approved centre for an innovative project funded by the
Raymond Williams Foundation
to encourage and support informal adult learning and discussion.
Successful applicants receive a grant of £60.00 towards the cost of minimum two nights self-catering accommodation at Wheeldon Trees Farm Holiday Cottages.
Additional financial support (up to 90% of the cost) may be provided upon receipt of testimony from a tutor and financial documentation. A full post-residence evaluation would be required for this.
This scheme is also open to groups (for example book clubs, writing circles and research groups) for which each member would be eligible for a grant.
In addition, we'll provide you with a complimentary
Derbyshire Beakfast Basket
for your arrival to feed those brain cells !!
