Friends of the Peak District is an independent charity whose vision is of a living, working Peak District that changes with the time but remains beautiful forever.

Vigilance and vigorous campaigning is needed however to ensure that the Peak District’s unique landscapes are safeguarded now and for future generations.

Friends of the Peak District (FPD) is the charity working to safeguard Peak District landscapes for everyone who loves and enjoys them. They are the recognised voluntary society for the Peak District National Park.

The FPD aim is a Peak District that changes with time but remains beautiful forever. As a constructive, forward-looking organisation they work for the continued care of the Peak District, for attention to the needs of local communities and National Park visitors, and for development which respects the local landscape character.

At Wheeldon Trees Farm, we're proud to support the work of Friends of the Peak District through donations and by participating in their 'Peak Pound Partnership' scheme.

We encourage all guests to add £1.00 to the amount they pay for accommodation at Wheeldon Trees - 100% of this donation goes directly to supporting FPD work.
