A ride up in a cable car from just upstream of the Railway Station crossing the main road and rising up to the rocky spur 450 feet above to two show caverns, Rutland Cavern and Great Masson Cavern. Also exhibitions and play area.

Poole's Cavern (with visitor centre) (01298 26978)

The cavern is open every day of the week, 10am - 5pm. Guided tours of the
cavern take place at half hourly intervals. Adult admission charge £7.50; child £4.50 (Under 5s go free); Family £22.00.
Poole's Cavern is situated about half a mile south of the town centre. On fine days, the best way on foot is through the Pavilion Gardens then past the Buxton Community School on Temple Road.

Open 0900-1700 daily until 1st November plus weekends throughout November (Additional evening slots available May–August). £25.00 (£20.00 10-17 years) to £27.50 (£22.50) for peak midday sessions.
A high wire forest adventure course of rope bridges, Tarzan Swings and zip slides up to 40 feet up in the trees. You are fitted with a climbing harness, given instructions, and then trek from tree to tree high above the forest floor. Minimum age 10.
